Bulgaria has been experiencing a serious political crisis since 2021, leading to six parliamentary elections in the past three years. The next stage of the election race is coming up, the results of which are unlikely to allow Bulgaria to recover from its steep political plunge.

The Russian Embassy in Bulgaria is actively involved in spreading propaganda and disinformation about Ukraine in the Bulgarian information field. A third of all information messages posted on the official pages of the Russian diplomatic mission have signs of propaganda and disinformation. This is evidenced by the results of a study conducted by experts of the "Laboratory of Research and Information Analysis" in the period from September to December 2023.

Last weekend, the Gagauzia Autonomous Region of Moldova held regular elections for the head of the region. None of the candidates was able to secure the absolute support of the voters, as was expected.
